We have customized a special school visit opportunity for education enthusiasts attending the Educa event. You will see how learning occurs in a typical classroom setting. During the visit, you will also have time to talk with Finnish teachers and ask about their teaching practices, methods, or challenges during their daily work. The visit also includes the Finnish school lunch – famous for being offered to every student for free.
We will visit a modern Finnish public school where you can see innovative learning environments that support the Finnish pedagogical approach to learning. The school is a comprehensive school, meaning that the school contains a primary school, with students in grades 1-6 and between the ages of 7 and 12, and a lower secondary school (middle school or junior high), with students in grades 7-9 and between the ages of 13 and 15.
You won’t be missing the Educa presentations during the Educa School Visit, as they will be recorded and you watch them later.

The schedule for Educa School Visit
8:00 The visit starts in front of the Messukeskus; look for an Educa School Visit -sign at the Main entrance. During the trip, you will receive basic information about the Finnish educational system.
8:30 Arriving at school – welcoming words from the school principal. Discussion session with him and some school teachers. Afterward visiting different classes.
11:15 School lunch
12:00 Bus trip back to Messukeskus
12:30 Educa School Visit ends – now is time to attend Educa event.

The price excludes Finnish VAT 25,5%. For VAT exemption, you need to register as a representative/employee of a company or organization and during the registration, attach a tax certificate, trade register extract, or similar from your country. A screenshot/picture of a VAT-number or Erasmus-related OID (Organization ID) are also acceptable.
Cancellation policy
Cancellation by participant
All cancellations must be made by email to info@visitedufinn.com. If you do not cancel your participation at all, you will be charged the full fee. For cancellations received by one month before the visit, the paid registration fee will be refunded. No refunds will be made for cancellations made after this date. Please note that a processing fee of 50€ (excl. VAT) will be deducted from all refunds. If unable to attend, the registered person may be substituted by someone else from the same organization by sending a notification to info@visitedufinn.com.
Cancellation by VisitEDUfinn
In case the visit is cancelled due to COVID-19 or a similar situation, all the payments will be refunded without any processing fee. VisitEDUfinn is not responsible for any damage caused by the cancellation and strongly recommends purchasing flexible flight tickets and accommodation.
Invitation letters
VisitEDUfinn will write invitation letters only after the full payment. If the participant cannot get a visa and sends evidence about the rejected visa application, VisitEDUfinn will refund the paid amount. However, 100€ (excl. VAT) will be deducted as an administrative fee.
HELJÄ MISUKKA
Heljä Misukka has had an exceptional career in the field of education. For the last ten years, she was the Director of Educational Policy and Executive Team member at the Trade Union of Education in Finland; before that, she worked as a Permanent Secretary to the Minister of Education. During 2015-2022, she was also a board member of Finnish National Agency for Education, and during 2013-2016, she was an Executive Board member at the Laurea University of Applied Sciences. Currently, she is the Executive director and owner of LovEdu.
Educa venue is Messukeskus in Helsinki. There are plenty of excellent options for accommodation in the city center or near Messukeskus, for instance, Holiday Inn Expo and Sokos Hotel Tripla.

Ms. Rauhala (B.A.) is an educational sciences student at the University of Turku with studies also in the fields of psychology, business and HR, and sociology. As an education major, she is passionate about lifelong learning and the Finnish education system. She believes in change through education. In addition, Ms. Rauhala loves to learn new languages. She completed an Erasmus + university exchange in Spain as a part of her studies and wants to work toward everyone getting international learning opportunities.
