Welcome to the Future AI Classroom course, designed to prepare educators for the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on teaching and learning. As AI becomes an integral part of our daily lives, it is crucial for educators to understand its implications and harness its potential to enhance educational outcomes.

Artificial Intelligence is here—are you ready? This course addresses key questions about AI’s role in education: What is AI, and what is it not? How does it work, and where are we heading? We’ll explore the benefits and challenges of AI from a teacher’s perspective, discussing what needs to change in classrooms to create learning environments that support and promote learning with AI.

Participants will have a unique opportunity to visit schools in Finland, engage in group discussions, listen to interesting speakers, and participate in hands-on workshops. You will learn about multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary learning, the significance of transversal competences, and versatile ways of student learning and technology utilization.

If you want to be ready for the future of education and discuss the possibilities and challenges of the new “metauniverse,” this is your course. Key topics include:

  • Understanding the basics of AI
  • Finland’s preparations for the future with AI
  • Adapting to new teaching and learning styles
  • Workshops on various AI tools and apps
  • Ethical considerations in using generative AI
  • Beyond ChatGPT: Exploring the broader scope of AI
  • Experiences of AI-teachers: What works and what doesn’t?
  • Transforming learning culture and creating extensive learning environments
  • Team teaching and team leadership
  • Designing school buildings and environments that support learning
  • Versatile learning methods and approaches
  • Self-leadership for students and teachers
  • Evaluation in the future
  • School visits for practical insights

The course methodology emphasizes creating tangible outputs. Participants will work individually or in groups to develop concrete products that can be used in their own schools. Trainers will provide ongoing coaching and support throughout the week and offer follow-up assistance after the course concludes.

Join us in this forward-thinking journey to upskill your organization, embrace the future of AI in education, and create dynamic, AI-enhanced learning environments.
