Innovative teaching and learning methods

The fundamental purpose of this course is to experience in practice how innovative teaching and learning can be integrated into daily school life.

We invite all teachers passionate to develop their professional skills to participate. The course is open also for education professionals from outside the EU (Erasmus+ funding is not mandatory). The course combines theory with practical exercises and field visits.  During the seven-day course, you will experiment with design thinking, phenomenon-based learning and playful learning in a participatory learning environment. You will work on your own, in pairs, and in teams. We will visit a Finnish school to see students in action, and for example Design Factory and Fazer Experience exhibition to see how innovative pedagogy is implemented in different ways. Active participation is essential to immerse yourself in Finnish education and culture, as well as deepen your practices in multidisciplinary teaching/ learning methods.
