How can I participate?
All registrations must be done using the online registration form.
Discounts available for groups of 5 or more participants! Contact euneos@euneos.eu for more information.
The course will be confirmed later. For the moment, we take binding pre-registrations. If you want to send a group, but you don’t know yet all participants’ names, it is possible to add them to the registration form like this:

If you have Erasmus+ KA1 funding, it should cover the fees. For those who come from outside the EU countries, there are other professional development grants for teachers. We have tried to keep the costs so low that self-funded participation is also a real option.
The price excludes Finnish VAT 25,5%. For VAT exemption, you need to register as a representative/employee of a company, school or other organization, and during the registration, provide a VAT-number or Erasmus-related OID (Organization ID) number. If you don’t have those, please send a tax certificate, trade register extract, or similar from your country to courses@euneos.eu.

The meal package (100€ excl. VAT) is obligatory, and it includes:
- Lunches (including a School lunch) and refreshments each day
Other expenses
Airline tickets, accommodation, and local travel tickets to be bought separately.
Payments
When we confirm the course we send a link to pay with a credit card or an invoice to make a bank transfer. The participant should assume all the bank transaction fees.
Please note that all payments must be made in advance and in euros (€).
Cancellation policy
Pre-registration
We can confirm this course once we have received 10 registrations. Note that also pre-registration is binding; as there is a minimum and maximum number of participants, every registration counts.
Cancellation by participant
All cancellations must be made by email to euneos@euneos.eu at least a month before the course starts. If you do not cancel your participation at all, you will be charged the full fee. Please note that a processing fee of 50€ (excl. VAT) will be deducted from all refunds. If unable to attend, the registered person may substitute someone else from the same organization by sending a notification to euneos@euneos.eu.
Cancellation by VisitEDUfinn
If the documents attached during the registration process are not valid, and the participant does not deliver proper documents immediately after requested, VisitEDUfinn has the right to cancel the participation without any refund. However, participation is always possible, paying the normal fee (or the price difference).
In case the event is canceled due to COVID-19 or a similar situation, all the payments will be refunded without any processing fee. VisitEDUfinn is not responsible for any damage caused by the cancellation and strongly recommends purchasing flexible flight tickets and accommodation.
Invitation letters
VisitEDUfinn will write invitation letters only after the full payment. If the participant cannot get a visa and sends evidence about the rejected visa application, VisitEDUfinn will refund the paid amount. However, 100€ (excl. VAT) will be deducted as an administrative fee.

Who is in charge of the Sustainability – Teaching Eco Skills course?

Tuovi Ronkainen, a highly respected figure in Finnish education, holds an esteemed career marked by significant contributions in multiple educational spheres. Course Venue
The course venue is at Hotel Kultahippu, located at Petsamontie 1 99800 Ivalo, Finland. Kultahippu means a ‘nugget of gold’ so it’s like a small treasure in the far of north. It has a good location – close to the airport, with good transport connections, in the middle of the village of Ivalo, close to all services. Daily flights, bus and train routes to Ivalo guarantee a pleasant journey almost to your destination. There is a restaurant on site for coffee breaks, also offering delicious lunch buffet.
Connections
Nearest domestic airport is Ivalo Airpot. Finnair flies from Helsinki to Ivalo all year round. Norwegian airlines fly between Helsinki and Ivalo during the winter season.
There are bus connections from Ivalo airport to Ivalo and nearby hotels.

Finnair flies only one flight per day from Helsinki airport, and is the only company flying that route. Therefore please start by checking and booking the flights first.

Travelling by bus will take more time, but you will get to see the vast areas of Lapland on that route, so it will be more of an adventure! Remember that you may use both weekend days for travelling if needed.
Catering options
You have your KA1 grant budget for your accommodation including meals. There is a restaurant on the premises and Monday to Friday offering lunch buffet. The courses will include time for relaxing coffee breaks, tea and special moments for cultural exchange. You are welcome to share something from your own country and culture.

IVALO/INARI, LAPLAND

When in Ivalo, have the best authentic experience of the north by going on a ‘polar’ safari. Time to be adventurous and go on an aurora hunting tour, ice fish in lake Inari, join a snowmobile safari, husky safari, reindeer safaris or snow shoe-hikes. Which ever you opt for, be ready to be mesmerized by the dancing lights of the Aurora Borealis on the northern sky as well as the endless, enchanting white scenery in winter. If you like new and unique food experiences you can opt for traditional Sami dinner, reindeer specialties, mushroom and fish dishes or go on safari and catch your own king crab. from the Barents Sea. After a 3 hour drive you will reach Rovaniemi, also known as the official hometown of Santa Claus where you can meet Santa in person. We also recommend that you spend one night of your trip in the Snow Hotel or Igloo, it is an unforgettable experience. Tervetuloa!
